The health insurers passing on premium hikes

From www.moneymag.com.au: Private health insurance premiums in Australia will increase by an average of 3.73% starting April 1, 2025, marking the largest rise since 2018, with singles seeing an average annual increase of about $88 and families about $174.

Some insurers, like Police Health, will experience significantly higher average increases of 9.56%, while others, like HIF, will see smaller hikes of 1.91%.

Many policyholders are considering changing providers or downgrading their coverage due to these rising costs, with research indicating that switching could lead to average savings of $1,151 annually.
