From www.uow.edu.au: The University of Wollongong launched a new Tax Clinic on March 18, 2025, aimed at providing free tax assistance to individuals in the Illawarra and South Coast experiencing hardship.

This initiative, part of the Australian Taxation Office’s National Tax Clinic Program, will be staffed by students under professional supervision, offering valuable work experience while improving access to tax-related advice for underserved communities.

The clinic will operate two days a week for 20 weeks a year and addresses various tax matters, including income tax returns and obligations for international workers.
