From hallandwilcox.com.au: A Western Australia District Court ruled in Mobius Group Pty Ltd v Inoteq Pty Ltd that the Defendant, Inoteq, is liable for an unpaid sum of $191,859.16 after it mistakenly paid a fraudster following a compromised email.

The court found that the Plaintiff, Mobius, did not owe a duty of care as the Defendant failed to adequately verify the legitimacy of the change in bank account details.
