Additionally, the ATO issued updated guidance for superannuation trustees concerning the management of super income streams, and ASIC fined three licensees a total of $31,300 for allowing unregistered financial advisers to provide personal advice, highlighting the importance of compliance with registration requirements.

The ATO also supported a recent report on the management of financial abuse within the tax system and committed to improving support for affected taxpayers.
