From www.smsfadviser.com: The average balance in a self-managed super fund (SMSF) has increased by over 20% according to the latest ATO statistics, with assets per member rising to $835,000.

The number of SMSFs grew by 11% to 625,609, while total assets increased by 39%.

Additionally, SMSF contributions saw a significant rise of 45%, reaching $24.4 billion.
