From www.accountantsdaily.com.au: The Federal Court has ruled in favour of the Coronis Group, a real estate service provider, allowing them to claim deductions for inter-entity service fees denied by the Commissioner of Taxation.

The court acknowledged the challenges faced by small businesses regarding documentation and record-keeping, noting that informality did not preclude eligibility for deductions.

This ruling highlights the importance of recognizing the realities of commerce for small to medium enterprises in tax matters.
