From www.bleepingcomputer.com: Pastor Francier Obando Pinillo from Pasco, Washington, has been indicted on 26 counts of fraud for leading a cryptocurrency scam known as “Solano Fi,” which purportedly defrauded investors of approximately $5.9 million between 2021 and 2023.

The scam involved enticing members of his congregation to invest by claiming the idea came to him in a dream and promising guaranteed, high returns at no risk.

Pinillo diverted the money for personal use, created fake investment balances, and pressured victims to recruit additional investors.
