NSW government releases industry policy

From www.aumanufacturing.com.au: The NSW government has released an industry policy outlining growth targets for manufacturing through 2040, which include ambitious goals for local content in transport stock and overall value-added growth.

Trade and industry minister Anoulack Chanthivong announced the policy’s focus on leveraging technologies to enhance competitiveness and support local manufacturing as part of broader missions addressing housing and the transition to net zero.

Key targets include achieving real growth in Gross Value Added and a minimum of 50% local content in future rolling transport stock by 2035.
