From treasury.gov.au: The new Franchising Code of Conduct, effective from April 1, 2025, introduces simpler rules, improved pre-entry and renewal processes, and enhanced protections for franchisees.

Franchisors are required to complete additional fields in their profiles on the Franchise Disclosure Register, although they will not be able to upload certain documents post-implementation.

Technical guidance will also be released on the same date to assist parties in understanding their obligations under the new Code.
