From alp.org.au: The Albanese Labor Government plans to implement a $2.3 billion Cheaper Home Batteries Program starting July 1, 2025, aimed at reducing the cost of home batteries by 30%, saving households up to $1,100 annually on energy bills.

This initiative is set to install over one million new batteries by 2030, enabling solar-powered households to store energy and reduce reliance on the grid.

The program includes funds to support energy efficiency upgrades for households, small businesses, and community facilities.
