How boards can tackle psychosocial hazards

From www.aicd.com.au: Australian organisations are now emphasising the need for boards to address psychosocial hazards in the workplace, alongside physical health and safety initiatives.

With a 36.9% increase in mental health-related workers’ compensation claims since 2017, directors have legal obligations under Work Health and Safety laws to understand and manage these risks effectively.

The AICD has launched a resource to assist directors in overseeing psychosocial risks, highlighting the importance of proactive measures, effective communication, and organizational culture in mitigating these issues.
