From www.russellkennedy.com.au: The Fair Work Ombudsman is conducting a nationwide “record-keeping blitz,” targeting approximately 50 businesses across Australian cities to ensure compliance with record-keeping obligations under the Fair Work Act 2009.

Employers failing to maintain accurate employee records risk fines ranging from $1,878 for individuals to $9,390 for corporations per breach.

The Ombudsman is also inspecting whether employers provide essential Fair Work Information Statements to their employees, with non-compliance potentially leading to significant penalties.
