From www.aumanufacturing.com.au: US President Donald Trump announced a ten percent tariff on Australian exports, effective immediately, in his “Liberation Day” address, citing bans on US beef exports to Australia as a justification.

Australia’s total exports to the US amount to roughly $22 billion annually, with beef exports valued at approximately $4 billion in 2024.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese called the tariffs unwarranted but stated there would be no retaliatory measures from Australia.
