From www.themandarin.com.au: Mark Sawade has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Security Officer of the Australian Taxation Office, effective March 11, 2025.

Sawade will lead the ATO’s technology and security initiatives at a crucial time when the agency is procuring a real-time counter-fraud system for transactions and refunds.

He brings extensive experience from various public sector roles, including his current position at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
