From asic.gov.au: ASIC is allowing the ASIC Corporations (Business Introduction Services) Instrument 2022/805 to expire on 1 April 2025, as there has been minimal reliance on it to raise funds for registered managed investment schemes.

Following a consultation process, ASIC determined that there was no significant industry need to extend the relief, and consumer protection concerns outweighed arguments for reinstating prior relief for securities.

Consequently, ASIC will also withdraw Regulatory Guide 129 on business introduction and matching services.
