From www.ifa.com.au: The number of members expelled from the Australian Financial Complaints Authority nearly doubled from 443 in 2023 to 859 in 2024, primarily due to failure to pay fees.

Among those expelled, 210 were Australian Financial Services Licensees, with the main reasons being non-payment, ceasing to be authorized or licensed, and insolvency.

AFCA faced criticism for its delayed expulsion of Dixon Advisory, which allowed consumer complaints to accumulate significantly before action was taken.
