From cgw.com.au: The ACCC conducted a review of over two thousand retail websites and identified numerous potential violations of the Australian Consumer Law, particularly regarding misleading consumer guarantee rights.

Businesses were found to have problematic statements in their policies, such as blanket restrictions on refunds and misleading information about consumers’ rights.

The ACCC has issued warning letters to various businesses, urging them to ensure compliance with the ACL and improve transparency in consumer dealings.
