Nant distilling alleged investor fraud

From www.abc.net.au: Keith Batt, the founder of Nant Distilling, appeared in Hobart Magistrates’ Court on charges of defrauding investors in a whisky investment scheme, facing a total of 736 charges including 622 counts of fraud.

The alleged offenses involved 56 victims and approximately $586,680, with claims that many barrels were never filled with whisky and some whisky was removed from barrels.

Batt did not enter a plea and is scheduled to return to court in May.
