A tax agent has lost his bid to suspend a four-year ban imposed by the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) for inflating his continuing professional education (CPE) hours by over 42 hours, reports www.accountantsdaily.com.au.

The Administrative Review Tribunal deemed that maintaining the ban was in the public interest, given the history of non-compliance with tax laws and previous sanctions.
