From www.pitcher.com.au: The Victorian government has announced a 12-month extension of the off-the-plan duty concession, allowing property contracts entered into between 21 October 2025 and 20 October 2026 to benefit from the expanded concession.

This extension aims to assist purchasers and sellers of off-the-plan developments like apartments and townhouses, previously unavailable under older rules.

Further details are expected to be included in the upcoming State Taxes Amendment Bill 2025, and there are calls for the concession to be made permanent for greater certainty in residential development projects.
